Job Role:  Senior Insurance Operations Manager  

Location: New Milton

Hours: 35 hours per week

As Senior Insurance Operations Manager you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:

This role reports to the Managing Director and has a team of up to 11 members of staff, some of whom may be your direct reports

About You

You are currently working or have extensive experience working in insurance in the commercial property sector.

As you are a strong leader of people you want to motivate and manage a team to deliver a successful performance and improvement of the delivery of service measured against the values and ethics of a company.

Having a background in the property insurance market means you can communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of people to influence and drive forward the strategy of the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide effective overall leadership of staff and management of FirstPort Insurance Services to agreed budget and standards
  • Identify and provide/arrange continuing training to FirstPort Insurance Services staff to ensure an effective team
  • To conduct annual appraisals of FirstPort Insurance Services staff who report directly to you and in the absence of the MD, for those staff that report to the MD
  • Preparation of quarterly board report
  • Compliance with FCA regulations or other such regulations that may be effective from time to time
  • Mentoring/training/coaching of staff as and when necessary
  • Providing guidance to staff on insurance queries
  • Project management as and when necessary
  • Assisting the MD as and when necessary
  • Management of your own client portfolio to ensure renewals and amendments are dealt with speedily and in line with regulatory requirements to enhance client retention
  • Onboard any new sites, gathering relevant information for the quotation process and if appropriate, presentation to client
  • Identify sites lost to management and work to retain insurance element
  • Ensuring the MD and Compliance Manager are informed of any potential risk and confirmed loss of business
