Job Role:  Finance Team Leader

Location: Luton

Hours: 35 hours per week

As Finance Team Leader you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager,as recognised by others by:

  • Managing and motivating a team of service charge accountants
  • Ensuring timely and accurate finances are issued
  • Supporting operations in communicating and understanding service charge

This role reports to the Finance Manager and has a team of up to 8 direct reports

About You

You are an experienced finance profession with a strong background in commercial business partnering and now want to lead and a develop a successful team in a growing organisation.

As a passionate manager you want to motivate and develop your finance team, and share you technical knowledge through positive leadership.

Communication comes naturally to you and you are able to clearly explain finances across wide range of people and operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the team, boost team engagement and motivation, identify learning and development needs and work with the wider department and HR to design and implement training programmes and development plans for the team members
  • Ensure all Service Charge Accounts are issued on time, are accurate and are of highest quality
  • Ensure all Service Charge Budgets are issued on time, are accurate and are of highest quality
  • Establish and embed clear and rapid escalation processes
  • Support Operations to understand and communicate Service Charge Finance
  • Strengthen relationships with Operations through refined and simplified processes
  • Support Customer Services in resolving complex service charge finance queries
  • Support Finance Manager in management and analysis of Corporate Finances
  • Maintain clear and accurate communications to line manager and the wider business
