Job Role:  Service Charge Accounting Manager

Location: New Milton 

Job Sector: Finance

Hours: 35 per week

As a Service Charge Accounting Manager, you will contribute to our vision of being the UK’s favourite residential property manager by:

  • Managing and motivating a scheme accounting team.
  • Developing and enhancing operational teams understanding of all service charge finance related matters.
  • Ensuring service charge financial accounts and budgets are issued in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Contributing to Strategic Objectives and process improvements by deploying a ‘continuous improvement’ philosophy.

This role reports to the Estates Finance Manager - Service Charge Accounting

About You

You are a professional finance person who is now looking to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment which is undergoing rapid change. 

As a strong leader and people manager, you can communicate effectively and motivate teams to deliver against company objectives, as well as being able to business partner with operational teams and build strong relationships.

Your strong systems and audit experience means your attention to detail is of a high level and supports the wider business environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Service Charge financial deliverable s, the quality, accuracy and timeliness of:
    • Service Charge Budgets
    • Service Charge Financial Accounts
    • Balance Sheet analysis and reporting

  • Ownership of Service Charge Client Reporting and meeting attendance.

  • Business Partner to the Operational teams with regards to all Service Charge aspects
    • Regular communication with Regional Managers, Property Managers and Development Managers enabling them to understandand own service charge accounts and budgets
    • Accounts reviews with Operational teams and clients
    • Interim accounts reviews and reporting
    • Budget reviews with Operational teams and clients
    • Provide finance support at key client meetings
    • Support internal stakeholders with Service Charge Finance queries and complaints
