Job Role:       Caretaker

Location:       Maidenhead

Pay Rate:      £11,609 per annum, equivalent to £9.50 per hour

Hours:          Monday to Friday; 23.5 hours a week. Monday & Tuesday 8am to 11am, Wednesday & Thursday 8am to 12pm, Friday 6am to 4pm 
                      

As the caretaker, you will contribute to our vision of being the UK’s favourite property manager by:

  • Demonstrating FirstPort values in all aspects of your work and communication, to develop strong relationships and enhance work quality.
  • Ensuring the development and its individual buildings and common spaces are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety so they maximise their presentation.
  • Supporting the development manager with individual customer requests in a polite and professional manner at all times to exceed the customer’s expectations.

This role reports into the development manager and does not have team of colleagues reporting into them.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Act as main point of contact on site to all customers providing information about the Development and the surrounding areas, key contacts and location advice. Investigate first level complaints within the development.
  2. Responsible for the cleaning and up-keep of the buildings and grounds area, this includes litter picking.  
  3. To conduct site walk rounds on a daily basis, all faults/maintenance and repairs reported to the development manager and to the relevant contractor. These reports passed over within the hand over log.
  4. Investigate faults and issues that arise within the development, this can be from leaks to fire alarms or bike theft. These reports have to be documented within the hand over log.
  5. Daily tasks will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins and vacuuming of communal areas.
  6. If required, disposal of rubbish in the designated rubbish collection area.
  7. To carry out deep cleaning as and when requested.
  8. Carrying out on-site test, this includes lift alarms, emergency light testing and automatic vents.
  9. Ensuring health and safety compliance at all times and reporting any faults, defects, concerns to the property manager.
  10. Be prepared to perform any other reasonable duties, as requested by the property manager

 

Skills and Experience

Minimum of one years’ experience in a caretaking position with maintenance duties

Good experience of Health and Safety regulations including COSHH

Confident, polite and courteous communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, able to work on own initiative and have ability to multitask.

Exceptional customer service experience, able to prioritise and manage various tasks simultaneously.
