Job Role:  Assistant Property Manager (Ref 6846)

Location: London office 

Job Sector:  Blenheims – A FirstPort company 

Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

As Assistant Property Manager you will be:

Responsible for the overall management of a residential block / estate portfolio commensurate with the role. To be part of a team of at least one larger “Flagship” scheme. The Assistant Property Manager will be encouraged, but not required to develop additional skills and responsibilities with the aim of eventually progressing to the role of Property Manager.

The Assistant Property Manager reports to the Regional Operations Manager and/or Executive Property Manager

Main Responsibilities

To oversee the day to day management of a portfolio of leasehold apartment buildings and residential estates.

To assist a Senior Property Manager, Executive Property Manager or team in the day to day management of at least one larger “Flagship” scheme or Blenheims Select.

Place, oversee and regularly review maintenance contracts

To maintain a good working relationship with your client and core contractors

Prepare service charge budgets

Manage expenditure against budget through the year

Undertake property inspections

Attend annual general meetings, general meeting of owners and board meetings

Work with the client to agree and implement a planned maintenance programme

About You

You will have gained experience of managing a residential block management or estate portfolio, and will have obtained, or be working towards an Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM – part 1) qualifications.

You will have experience of working effectively within a Senior Management team.

You will already have knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation standards in this field. You will also be knowledgeable of RICS and ARMA guidelines.

An excellent and effective communicator with the ability to explain complex issues to a diverse client group. You will also be have excellent IT skills, be proficient in using MS Office packages, and be confident in learning new systems.  You will also be have excellent numerical skills and be able to produce great correspondence and reports.

You will be a self-starter, organised and methodical when dealing with multiple tasks, with the ability to plan and manage your working day, while ensuring deadlines are met.
